Nice try, Google Voice, nice try…
If you use Google voice, one of the features you’re probably familiar with is the voice mail transcription service. When someone leaves you a voice mail, Google Voice tries it’s best to transcribe it with it’s speech-to-text engine, then sends you a SMS text summary. Pretty cool idea on paper, right?
When I first started using Google Voice about a year ago, the transcriptions were actually pretty accurate, but lately, the quality has degraded to that of a drunken amputee, who uses his forehead to type on the keyboard.

I’d really be interested to hear any ideas anyone might have about the sudden drop in transcription quality. Any ideas?
